Paper Strip Positive Message

Are you looking to spread kindness, and joy during this challenging time?  If so, CPC Alumni Garrett (class of 2016), and his sister Reagan (Ms. Megan R. coaches her for jump rope) have an activity you can complete at home. Their great-grandparents live in a nursing home home in Pennsylvania, and the center is collecting paper chains to let the residents know people are thinking about them during this time when visitors are not allowed. All you need to do is send paper strips (11x3 preferred) with a positive message, or drawing on them to the center.

The residents who we are honoring (they like to let them know who is thinking of them) are Blaine and Shirley. It would be much appreciated if you add a short message that tells the Center that you know friends of their great grandchildren.

Students can help with cutting the paper strips (I am sure the Center would enjoy seeing that students used this activity as a fine motor practice with scissors, and it is okay if they are not perfect, as they were made with love.) Older students can trace, or print short messages. Drawings are also welcome!

Thank you for your support with this activity!  If anyone else knows other places who are doing something similiar we can send strips there as well!

Thank you and have a great weekend!
