Bible Study

Presbyterian Women: Joyce Carter or Jen Labe

Sarah Circle

The Sarah Circle meets on the first Tuesday of the month in the Church Lounge at 9:30 a.m.  Our new study is from the Fisherman’s Bible Study guide series entitled Speaking Wisely: Exploring the Power of Words written by Poppy Smith.

Who hasn’t blurted out something not worth saying?  And who hasn’t been wounded by someone’s thoughtless comments, angry words, or gossip?  Words are incredibly powerful, capable of shaping our perceptions, influencing our behavior, and ultimately, affecting the world around us. They can be used to build people up or tear them down, to create or destroy, to heal or harm.  We will explore what the Bible has to say about the power of words to harm relationships and to hinder God's work in our own lives.

This study will help us learn how to help others by cultivating the habit of using words that encourage, express love, and praise God.  Study chapters include Choosing Wholesome Words, using Bible text from the Book of Ephesians; Encouraging Others, text from the book of Acts; and Glorifying God, text from the Book of Psalms.

All ladies are welcome--join us for lively discussion on the power of words!

Phoebe Circle

The Phoebe Circle meets on the third Wednesday morning of each month at 10:00 a.m.  We are currently using the Presbyterian Women's Bible study material called - “Growing Older & Wiser”.

Marilyn Rudolph and Pastor Kim Nofel leads our Bible Study.  We have a rotation of ladies that bring refreshments to share with all who attend.  We have two hours of fellowship, good food and wonderful discussions on our Lessons in Bible Study.

Please join us!  All are welcome.
