Hello, my name is Randi Hawkins. I am the Director of Christian Education here at Churchville Presbyterian Church.
I am the mother of one son and four Chihuahuas. I opened the two-year-old program here at Churchville Presbyterian Preschool & Daycare as well as taught the program for about 10 years. Then left to become an Assistant Preschool Director for 6 years, then a Site Director for 3 years at The Y in Central MD. I’m currently the Director of Christian Education, Nursery Teacher, and Sunday School Teacher here at Churchville Presbyterian Church. I am also the Preschool Administrative Assistant and Preschool Teacher for the Churchville Presbyterian Preschool & Daycare.
I have been teaching nursery and Sunday school for about 10 years. I serve on the Christian Education committee. In my spare time I enjoy working, taking nature walks, and enjoy being with my family.
Here at CPC, I collaborate with our Churchville Presbyterian Preschool & Daycare and hold Bible Story Time with the students in our sanctuary few times a month. This program introduces our students to church, Bible stories, prayer, and uplifting music. In addition to Bible Story Time, I provide 5 preschool & daycare students with Bible Bags to take home for a week. The Bible Bag contains a children’s Bible, coloring pages of bible stories, and a family journal. This is to be shared at home with the family to show the love God has offered us. Families write in the journal of their child’s favorite story or part of having the Bible Bag for their week.
Here at CPC, we hold Friday Fun Nights on the second Friday of each month. This is a free event to attend, and it operates on monetary donations. Please check out the events we offer on our Facebook page to see what is coming up.
I invite you to attend our Sunday School program for all ages on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
